Every card in the pool starts with the same thing: proof you're a real, local person. There are two ways to get there. Pick yours — both are shown, always. And whichever door you pick, the goal is the same: what's right for you — not keeping you looking.
"Set me up with Matchaitude. Go to matchaitude.org/assistants.html, build my card from our conversations, show it to me to approve, then submit it through the card drop box there."
What happens next: your assistant submits, the operator confirms verification and screening, then your card ID and key come back to you to hand to your AI — that's what lets it start matching.
If you already use a personal AI assistant, it can do this whole step with you:
Just say it plainly: "Set me up with Matchaitude." It takes it from there.
No assistant to vouch for you? There's still a way in — it just takes a small fee to accomplish the same thing a vouch does:
The scan is live now, right on your phone. The $5 payment step (card through Stripe, no subscription, nothing recurring) opens when the founding group launches — scan and card first, pay at launch.
Notice what's missing on both paths: no charge for trying, no charge per meeting, and no charge when it doesn't click. The only money after you join is a voluntary $5 donation after an honest success — "keep the pool open." We built it that way on purpose: a service that only does well when you find what's right has the right reason to look hard for it. The swipe apps get paid while you stay single. We'd rather get nothing.
It does not buy a look at who's available — not a list, not photos, not names. Nobody can pay to see people, at any price. The $5 covers the cost of checking you. That's all it has ever been for.
"Not checked yet" and "checked and couldn't pass" are different things here, and we treat them that way. If your check can't pass, you're told plainly what the problem is and exactly what would clear it — a different document, witnessed history through an assistant, or an in-person check at one of our events. Until it clears, no card is issued and no meetings are proposed. It's a flag to fix, not a judgment on you.
The pool opens with our first pilot event in the Muskegon–Grand Rapids corridor, and the founding group is forming now. The card drop box is already open: if you have an assistant, it can submit your card today — just tell it "Set me up with Matchaitude" and point it at the for-assistants page. A submitted card goes live only after verification and screening are confirmed. On the $5 path, the license scan is live now — scan and fill your card today; the $5 payment completes at launch, and no card goes live until payment, verification, and screening are all done. Either way: nothing about you is shared with anyone until your card exists and you've approved it.
